Lake Erie
One of the finest things about London is Lake Erie. Lake Huron is also a fine local feature but Port Stanley is just so close. It is a shame that the London & Port Stanley Railway no longer runs from London to the Lake Erie resort. Many towns all around the world have brought back their local railroad. The group running the stretch of the old LPSR between St. Thomas and Port Stanley are doing a fine job. One must wonder if it would be possible to return to service the entire run from London to the lake, at least from May 24th till early fall. There would be a number of ways to approach such a venture and it would take some careful thought and research but my guess is that it could be done.
